Vittorio Duse (1916-2005) was an Italian actor, director, and screenwriter, known for his long and prolific career. He made his debut in the post-World War II era, appearing in significant Neorealist films such as *The Sun Still Rises* (1946) and *Tragic Hunt* (1947). Establishing himself as one of the most recognizable character actors in Italian cinema, he worked across numerous genres, from *poliziottesco* to westerns, collaborating with directors such as Federico Fellini, Mario Monicelli, and Giuseppe Tornatore. His international fame is primarily linked to his role as Don Tommasino in Francis Ford Coppola's *The Godfather Part III* (1990), a performance that earned him a Nastro d'Argento nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
