Wayne Sleep
Wayne Sleep is a British dancer, choreographer, and actor, known for his career as a principal dancer with the Royal Ballet. Despite his exceptionally short stature for a classical ballet dancer, he established himself through his extraordinary technical virtuosity, which allowed him to set the world record for an *entrechat douze*. The celebrated choreographer Frederick Ashton created roles specifically for him, such as in *A Month in the Country*. In addition to ballet, his career has been enormously successful in musical theatre, where he originated the iconic role of Mr. Mistoffelees in the original London cast of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical *Cats*. He also founded his own dance company, Dash, to explore different styles. For his significant contribution to the performing arts, he was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE).
