William LeMassena
William LeMassena (Glen Ridge, May 23, 1916 – Nelson, January 19, 1993) was an American actor, known for his long and versatile career spanning over fifty years. His work was primarily in theater, where he made his Broadway debut in the 1940s. He appeared in numerous successful productions, including *Life with Father*, the revival of *The Iceman Cometh*, and Stephen Sondheim's musical *Follies*. He was also a founding member of the American Theatre Wing, an organization that supports excellence in theater. Concurrently, LeMassena built a solid film and television career, specializing in character roles. His best-known films include *All the President's Men* (1976), in which he played a key accountant, *Brubaker* (1980), and *The World According to Garp* (1982). On television, he is remembered for the role of Bill Bauer in the soap opera *Guiding Light*, which he played for several years, and for his numerous appearances in popular series. Although he did not receive major awards, his consistent presence and professionalism made him a respected figure in the American entertainment industry.
