Wolfgang Stumpf, born on January 31, 1946, in Radków, is a German actor, cabaret artist, and director. He began his artistic career in the GDR, founding the cabaret group "Antenn-Sting" in Dresden. His breakthrough to national fame came after German reunification with his role as Udo Struutz in the cult film *Go Trabi Go* (1991), which established him as an icon of German cinema of that period. He consolidated his success with the long-running crime television series *Stubbe – Von Fall zu Fall*, in which he played Commissioner Wilfried Stubbe from 1995 to 2014 for fifty episodes. His versatile career, spanning theater, television, and film, has earned him numerous accolades, including the prestigious Bambi award, the Bayerischer Fernsehpreis, and several Goldene Henne awards, cementing his status as one of the most beloved and respected figures in German entertainment.
