
Yosuke Akimoto
Yasushi Akimoto is a Japanese record producer, lyricist, and screenwriter, primarily known for creating and producing the AKB48 idol group franchise and its numerous offshoots in Japan and abroad. His innovative concept of "idols you can meet," based on daily performances in a dedicated theater and direct interaction with fans, has revolutionized the Japanese music industry. In addition to the 48 Group, he has created other highly successful projects such as the Sakamichi Series, which includes Nogizaka46 and Sakurazaka46. His prolific career as a lyricist, which began long before the idol groups, includes writing lyrics for countless successful artists; among his most celebrated works is the iconic song "Kawa no Nagare no Yō ni" by Hibari Misora.
