Yura Borisov (Reutov, December 8, 1992) is a Russian actor. He graduated in 2013 from the M.S. Shchepkin Higher Theatre School and began his career on stage before gaining wide recognition in cinema. His international rise began with the lead role in the biographical film *Kalashnikov* (2020), for which he won the Golden Eagle Award for Best Actor. His reputation was cemented through a series of acclaimed performances in films presented at major international festivals, including *Compartment No. 6* (2021), a Finnish co-production that won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival, and *Captain Volkonogov Escaped* (2021), which competed at the Venice Film Festival. Further notable roles include the Netflix series *To the Lake* and the film *Anora* (2024), winner of the Palme d'Or. Recognized for his intensity and versatility, in 2021 he was awarded the European Shooting Star at the Berlin International Film Festival.
