
Zena Walker
Zena Walker (Birmingham, 14 February 1934 – Brockenhurst, 24 August 2003) was a British actress active in theatre, film, and television. Her career was launched in theatre, where she distinguished herself as a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company. Among her most celebrated roles was that of Margaret Roper in the original production of Robert Bolt's *A Man for All Seasons*. For her stage performances, in 1958 she received the prestigious Clarence Derwent Award for Best Supporting Actress. On the big screen, she appeared in films such as *The Hellions* (1961) and *Cromwell* (1970), but she gained her greatest recognition through television. Her most iconic role was that of Helene Hillmer in the acclaimed BBC series *The Forsyte Saga* (1967), a performance that earned her a BAFTA Television Award nomination for Best Actress. Recognised for her versatility, she continued to work extensively in British television productions until the 1990s.
