
Zooey Deschanel
Zooey Deschanel is an American actress, singer, and musician. She made her film debut in the late 1990s, soon gaining recognition for supporting roles in films such as *Almost Famous* (2000) and *Elf* (2003). Her career reached a turning point with her leading role in the independent romantic comedy *(500) Days of Summer* (2009), which solidified her international fame. Her greatest success came in television, playing the main character Jessica Day in the sitcom *New Girl* (2011-2018). For this performance, she received an Emmy Award nomination and three Golden Globe Award nominations for Best Actress. Parallel to her acting, she pursues a music career as the singer of the indie folk duo She & Him, together with guitarist M. Ward, with whom she has released numerous albums.
