
Adriano Amidei Migliano
Adriano Amidei Migliano, born in Forlì in 1954, is an Italian poet, essayist, and literary critic. His poetic work is characterized by a rigorous language and a profound existential reflection. He made his debut with the collection *La sedia di legno* (1985), but his breakthrough came with *Le visite* (1989), a work for which he won the prestigious Viareggio-Rèpaci Prize for Poetry. His later works include the collections *Nel corpo della parola* (2004) and *La vita in prosa* (2018). Alongside his poetic activity, he has pursued an extensive career as an essayist and scholar of contemporary Italian literature, with a particular focus on poets such as Vittorio Sereni and Andrea Zanzotto. He taught at the University of Florence and directed several book series. Throughout his career, he has received numerous other awards, including the Mondello Prize and the Ceppo Prize, establishing himself as one of the most authoritative voices in contemporary Italian poetry.
