Antonio Maestri
Antonio Maestri, born in Ravenna in 1979, is one of the most recognized Italian artists and painters of his generation. Trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, his artistic research explores the relationship between humanity and nature through a pictorial language that combines figuration and abstraction. His works, often large in scale, are characterized by dreamlike and silent atmospheres, in which woodland landscapes and animal figures take on a strong symbolic and ancestral significance. His career gained significant recognition in 2008 when he won the prestigious Cairo Prize. He has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad, including the 54th Venice Biennale in the Italian Pavilion. His works are held in important public and private collections, confirming his status as a leading figure in the Italian contemporary art scene.
