Chus Lampreave
María de Jesús Lampreave Pérez, known as Chus Lampreave (Madrid, 1930 – Almería, 2016), was a Spanish actress, considered one of her country's greatest character actresses. Her career is inextricably linked to director Pedro Almodóvar, with whom she collaborated on eight films, including *¿Qué he hecho yo para merecer esto?* (1984), *Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios* (1988), *La flor de mi secreto* (1995), and *Volver* (2006). Her comedic talent and her ability to embody eccentric yet profoundly human characters also brought her renown in the works of other directors. For her performance in Fernando Trueba's film *Belle Époque* (1992), she won the Goya Award for Best Supporting Actress. In 2006, along with the other female cast members of *Volver*, she received the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival, a testament to her status as an iconic figure of European cinema.
