
Eve Gray
Eve Gray (1900-1983) was a British actress whose career spanned from the silent to the sound era. She began her career in the 1920s, becoming a well-known face in British silent cinema. Among her most significant roles from this period are her appearances in Alfred Hitchcock films such as "The Lodger" (1927) and "Moulin Rouge" (1928). With the advent of sound, Gray continued to work successfully, demonstrating her versatility. She appeared for Hitchcock again in the first version of "The Man Who Knew Too Much" (1934) and acted in productions such as "Scrooge" (1935). Although she did not receive any major awards, her main recognition lies in her prolific filmography, which includes over one hundred films and establishes her as a key and consistent supporting figure in British cinema for over three decades.
