Henry Silva (New York, September 15, 1926 – Los Angeles, September 14, 2022) was an American actor of Puerto Rican and Spanish descent, known for his sharp features and for predominantly playing criminal or antagonist roles. Trained at the Actors Studio, he gained international visibility as a member of the gang in *Ocean's 11* (1960) and for his iconic role as Chunjin in *The Manchurian Candidate* (1962). His career took a significant turn in the 1970s in Italy, where he became a star of genre films, particularly in the *poliziottesco* subgenre, starring as the lead in cult films such as *Il boss* (1973) and *Milano odia: la polizia non può sparare* (1974). Returning to Hollywood, he continued to work in character roles in films such as *Dick Tracy* (1990) and *Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai* (1999). Although he did not receive any major awards, Silva is recognized as one of the most prolific and memorable faces of international cinema, an icon specializing in tough and ruthless characters.
