
Ilinca Manolache
Ilinca Manolache is a Romanian actress, born on August 1, 1985, in Bucharest. The daughter of actors Dinu Manolache and Rodica Mandache, she has built her career primarily in theatre, becoming a prominent member of the Bucharest National Theatre company and collaborating with major directors on the national scene. She gained international recognition in 2023 for her leading role as Angela in the film *Nu aștepta prea mult de la sfârșitul lumii* (Do Not Expect Too Much from the End of the World), directed by Radu Jude. Her performance, praised by critics for its energy and complexity, earned her the prestigious Pardo for Best Performance at the Locarno Film Festival. In addition to her acclaimed film performance, Manolache has a solid theatrical background, which also includes co-writing and performing in plays such as *Julieta fără Romeo*. She is considered one of the most significant voices of her generation in the Romanian artistic scene.
