Jacky Cheung Hok-Yau (張學友) is a Hong Kong singer and actor, considered one of the most influential figures in the history of Chinese music. Nicknamed the "God of Songs" (歌神), he is one of the "Four Heavenly Kings" (四大天王) of Cantopop who dominated the Asian music scene in the 1990s. His career took off in the mid-1980s, producing countless hits in both Cantonese and Mandarin. His 1993 Mandarin album, *The Goodbye Kiss* (吻别), is one of the best-selling albums of all time in Asia, solidifying his fame internationally. With tens of millions of records sold, he has received numerous awards, including the World Music Award for Best-selling Chinese Artist. Alongside his music career, he has cultivated a prolific acting career, winning the Hong Kong Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Wong Kar-wai's *As Tears Go By* (1988). His "1/2 Century Tour" set a Guinness World Record for the largest audience for a music tour in 12 months.
