Jeff Daniels, full name Jeffrey Warren Daniels, is an American actor, musician, and playwright born in Athens, Georgia, on February 19, 1955. His film career took off in the 1980s with roles in acclaimed films such as *Terms of Endearment* (1983) and Woody Allen's *The Purple Rose of Cairo* (1985).
