Jude Ciccolella, born on November 30, 1947, in Nassau County, New York, is an American actor known for his prolific career as a character actor in television and film. His most notable role is that of Mike Novick, Chief of Staff and presidential advisor, in the hit series *24*, a character he portrayed in the first five seasons and in the television film *24: Redemption*. In film, he has appeared in acclaimed movies such as *The Shawshank Redemption* (1994), as prison guard Mert, and *Sin City* (2005), where he played Liebowitz. His television career also includes numerous appearances in popular series like *CSI: Crime Scene Investigation*, *NCIS*, and *The Mentalist*, which have solidified his reputation as a versatile actor. For his performance in *24*, he received, along with the rest of the cast, two Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
