June Tripp, born June Howard-Tripp (1901-1985), was a British actress, active primarily during the silent film era. She began her career on the London West End stage, achieving success as a revue star before transitioning to the big screen. Her name is inextricably linked to director Alfred Hitchcock, for whom she played leading roles in some of his early and seminal works. Among her most celebrated performances are those in *The Pleasure Garden* (1925), Hitchcock's first directorial feature, and especially in the thriller *The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog* (1927), where she played the iconic role of the model Daisy Bunting. Her filmography also includes collaborations with other prominent figures of British cinema of the period. After her marriage to Baron Inverclyde, she largely retired from acting and moved to the United States. In 1960, she published her autobiography, titled "The Glass Ladder," in which she recounted her life and career.
