Kathleen Turner is an American actress who became one of the cinematic icons of the 1980s. Her 1981 debut in *Body Heat* established her as a femme fatale, a role solidified by her screen presence and her characteristic deep voice. Her success continued with highly popular films such as *Romancing the Stone*, for which she won a Golden Globe, and *Prizzi's Honor*, which earned her a second Golden Globe. In 1986, she received her only Academy Award nomination for Best Actress for Francis Ford Coppola's *Peggy Sue Got Married*.
