Richard Denning, born Louis Albert Heindrich Denninger Jr. (1914-1998), was an American actor whose career spanned radio, film, and television. After serving in the Navy during World War II, he gained significant popularity on radio as the co-star, alongside Lucille Ball, in the sitcom *My Favorite Husband*. In film, he is best known for his leading role in the science fiction classic *Creature from the Black Lagoon* (1954) and for his appearance in films such as *An Affair to Remember* (1957). He further solidified his fame on television, first with the detective series *Mr. and Mrs. North* and then, most iconically, by portraying Governor Paul Jameson in the long-running series *Hawaii Five-O* from 1968 to 1980. For his contribution to the entertainment industry, he was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
