
Sarah Chadwick
Sarah Chadwick is an American activist known for her gun control advocacy, which began after the 2018 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, where she was a student. Along with other survivors, she co-founded the student-led advocacy group March for Our Lives, an organization that promotes stricter legislation on gun sales. She was one of the lead organizers of the massive protest of the same name, held in Washington D.C. in March 2018. She is also the co-author of the book *Glimmer of Hope: How Tragedy Sparked a Movement* (2018), which documents the birth of the movement. For her activism, along with the other leaders of March for Our Lives, she has received numerous awards, including the International Children's Peace Prize and the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award. After graduating from high school, she continued her studies at Syracuse University, while also continuing her civic engagement.
