
Stubby Kaye
Stubby Kaye, born Bernard Kotzin, was an American comic actor and singer, known primarily for his roles in Broadway musicals and their film adaptations. His career peaked with his portrayal of Nicely-Nicely Johnson in the acclaimed musical *Guys and Dolls*, a role he reprised with great success in the 1955 film of the same name alongside Frank Sinatra and Marlon Brando. Another of his iconic characters was Marryin' Sam in *Li'l Abner*, both on stage and in the film adaptation, a performance for which he received a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Musical in 1957. On the big screen, he is also remembered for his part in *Cat Ballou* (1965), where, paired with Nat King Cole, he plays one of the two minstrels who narrate the story. His career, which included numerous television and film appearances, culminated with the memorable role of toy mogul Marvin Acme in the hit film *Who Framed Roger Rabbit* (1988), one of his final appearances.
