Ernesto "Tino" Scotti (Milan, 1905 – Tarquinia, 1984) was a highly versatile Italian actor, comedian, and voice actor. He began his long career in revue and variety theatre, where he honed his skills as a character actor. A prolific film actor, he appeared in over one hundred films, often in memorable supporting roles, working alongside great names such as Alberto Sordi in "Il vedovo" (1959) and Totò. His popularity peaked with television, becoming an iconic face of "Carosello" thanks to the commercial for Olio Sasso, in which he launched the famous catchphrase "Cavaliere!". Also active in radio, his multifaceted artistic career was recognized in 1975 with a Special Nastro d'argento for Lifetime Achievement, establishing him as an unforgettable figure in 20th-century Italian entertainment.
