Daniel Scheinert is an American director, screenwriter, and producer, best known as one half of the directing duo "Daniels," alongside Daniel Kwan. The pair initially gained recognition for directing music videos, including the celebrated and viral video for "Turn Down for What" (2014) by DJ Snake and Lil Jon. Their feature film debut was the surreal comedy *Swiss Army Man* (2016), which solidified their reputation as original filmmakers. Scheinert has also directed a solo feature film, the black comedy *The Death of Dick Long* (2019). The pinnacle of their career came with the film *Everything Everywhere All at Once* (2022), a global critical and commercial success. For this film, the Daniels won three Academy Awards: Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay, establishing themselves as among the most influential filmmakers of their generation.
