Brady Corbet is an American actor, director, and screenwriter. He began his career as an actor at a young age, gaining recognition with roles in acclaimed independent films such as *Thirteen* (2003) and *Mysterious Skin* (2004). His acting career continued with significant collaborations with international directors, including Michael Haneke for the remake of *Funny Games* (2007), Lars von Trier for *Melancholia* (2011), and Olivier Assayas for *Sils Maria* (2014). Beginning in 2015, he established himself as a filmmaker. His directorial debut, *The Childhood of a Leader*, won the Best Director award in the Orizzonti section and the Lion of the Future award at the Venice Film Festival. After directing his second feature film, *Vox Lux* (2018), his career was further established in 2024 when he won the Silver Lion for Best Director at the Venice Film Festival for the film *The Brutalist*.
