
Edgar Wright
Edgar Wright (born 18 April 1974) is a British film director, screenwriter, and producer. His career gained momentum with the cult television series *Spaced* (1999–2001), which he co-created with frequent collaborators Simon Pegg and Jessica Hynes. He is best known for the "Cornetto Trilogy," a series of films that parody and pay homage to various film genres, consisting of the romantic zombie comedy *Shaun of the Dead* (2004), the action-comedy *Hot Fuzz* (2007), and the science fiction comedy *The World's End* (2013). His filmography also includes the graphic novel adaptation *Scott Pilgrim vs. the World* (2010), acclaimed for its innovative visual style; the musical action thriller *Baby Driver* (2017); and the psychological horror film *Last Night in Soho* (2021). For his work, he has received numerous accolades, including a BAFTA Award for Best Editing for *Baby Driver*, which also earned three Academy Award nominations. Wright's style is characterized by fast-paced editing, dynamic visual storytelling, and an integral use of music.
