Feras Fayyad is a Syrian director, producer, and screenwriter, known for his acclaimed documentaries focusing on the Syrian civil war. His career achieved international recognition with *Last Men in Aleppo* (2017), which follows the work of the White Helmets volunteers during the siege of the city. The film won the Grand Jury Prize for Documentary at the Sundance Film Festival and earned his first Oscar nomination for Best Documentary. This success was confirmed with *The Cave* (2019), a film that documents the management of an underground hospital by Dr. Amani Ballour in Eastern Ghouta.
