Lee Hae-jun is a South Korean director and screenwriter, known for his original narrative style and his ability to explore the human condition. He began his career as a screenwriter before making his directorial debut in 2006 with *Cheonhajangsa Madonna* (*Like a Virgin*), co-directed with Lee Hae-young. His international breakthrough came with the 2009 film *Kimssi pyoryugi* (*Castaway on the Moon*), which he directed solo.
