Peter Hans Docter, born in Bloomington in 1968, is an American animator, director, screenwriter, and film producer, currently the Chief Creative Officer of Pixar Animation Studios. Joining Pixar in 1990 as one of its first employees, he was a key contributor to the story development of the studio's first feature film, *Toy Story* (1995). He made his directorial debut with *Monsters, Inc.* (2001), achieving great critical and commercial success. His directing career continued with acclaimed films such as *Up* (2009), *Inside Out* (2015), and *Soul* (2020). All three films earned him the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film, establishing him as one of the most influential figures in contemporary animation. He has also received numerous Academy Award nominations for his screenplays, characterized by great emotional depth and conceptual originality. Since 2018, he has served as Chief Creative Officer of Pixar, succeeding John Lasseter and overseeing the production of all the studio's projects.
