His career is inextricably linked to three surreal science-fiction feature films, created in collaboration with celebrated artists. The most well-known is *La Planète sauvage* (1973), created with Roland Topor, which achieved international success and won the Special Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival, a highly prestigious award for an animated film. This was followed by *Les Maîtres du temps* (1982), with illustrations by Mœbius, and *Gandahar* (1988), based on the designs of Caza.
