
Rob Minkoff
Rob Minkoff (born 1962) is an American director, animator, and producer, known for his work in both animation and live-action filmmaking. His career began at Walt Disney Animation Studios, where he contributed as an animator to iconic films such as *The Little Mermaid* (1989) and *Beauty and the Beast* (1991). He achieved international fame by co-directing the animated classic *The Lion King* (1994) with Roger Allers, a global success that earned him, among various accolades, an Annie Award for Best Direction. Subsequently, Minkoff transitioned to live-action filmmaking, directing family hits such as *Stuart Little* (1999) and its sequel, as well as *The Haunted Mansion* (2003). His filmography also includes *The Forbidden Kingdom* (2008), notable for uniting Jackie Chan and Jet Li on screen for the first time. He later returned to animation with the DreamWorks film *Mr. Peabody & Sherman* (2014), confirming his versatility as a director.
