Thornton Hee, known as T. Hee, was an American animator, director, and caricaturist, best known for his work at Walt Disney Studios during their "Golden Age." He was also a sequence director for *Pinocchio* (1940), making a decisive contribution to the character design of Honest John and Gideon. His talent also shaped the crows in the film *Dumbo* (1941). After leaving Disney, he collaborated with the UPA studio and later became an influential teacher at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), where he headed the character animation program. For his outstanding contribution to the art of animation, he received the prestigious Winsor McCay Award in 1981.
