Al Ernest Garcia (1881–1938) was an American actor, primarily remembered for his distinctive presence in silent and early sound cinema, particularly in the works of Charlie Chaplin.

His collaboration with Chaplin was pivotal. He portrayed the tyrannical circus owner in *The Circus* (1928), the gruff but generous drunken millionaire in *City Lights* (1931) – one of his most iconic roles – and the stern factory president in *Modern Times* (1936).

Garcia was often cast in roles as authoritative figures, businessmen, or antagonists, leveraging his imposing stature and expressive face. Although not always credited or credited under different names in early films, his visual and dramatic contribution was crucial to many of Chaplin's masterpieces, making him a recognizable figure of the era.
