**Aliki Georgouli** (Athens, July 20, 1934 – July 23, 1996), universally known as **Aliki Vougiouklaki**, was a Greek actress of legendary fame. Considered the "National Star" and an icon of Greek cinema from the 1950s to the 1970s, her film career was marked by roles of lively, naive yet spirited young women, often protagonists in light musical comedies. She embodied the 'girl next door,' with a mix of charm, charisma, and innocence.

Among her most celebrated films are *The Wood Came Out of Paradise* (To xylo vgike ap' ton Paradeiso, 1959), which launched her to stardom, *The Daughter of the Sun* (I kori tou Iliou, 1971), and the dramatic *The Red Lanterns* (Ta kokkina fanaria, 1963), an Oscar-nominated film.
