**Anthony Zerbe (born in 1936)** is an American actor known for his character roles. He was noted for his intense presence and raspy voice, often portraying authoritative figures, antagonists, or ambiguous and menacing characters.
His film career includes memorable appearances in films such as **The Omega Man** (1971), where he portrayed the leader of the Mutants, Matthias; **Papillon** (1973), as Toussaint, the leper; and David Cronenberg's **The Dead Zone** (1983), as the corrupt politician. He also played the role of the drug trafficker Milton Krest in **Licence to Kill** (1989), a James Bond film.
