Bridget Fonda

**Bridget Fonda** (Los Angeles, 1964), American actress, belongs to a renowned cinematic dynasty (daughter of Peter Fonda, niece of Henry Fonda). She gained prominence in the 1990s, establishing herself as a distinctive presence for intense and often complex roles.

Her most iconic role is arguably that of Hedra Carlson in *Single White Female* (1992), a psychological thriller that cemented her image as a versatile actress. She further demonstrated her versatility with the action-thriller *Point of No Return* (1993), a remake of *Nikita*, and with the dramatic comedy *Singles* (1992).

Other notable performances include those in Quentin Tarantino's *Jackie Brown* (1997) and Sam Raimi's *A Simple Plan* (1998). Fonda often distinguished herself by portraying independent female characters, sometimes vulnerable but resilient, or tormented and morally ambiguous figures. She retired from acting in the early 2000s.
