Cathy Moriarty (born November 29, 1960) is an American actress known for her ability to portray strong and complex women. She gained immediate notoriety and an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her film debut as Vikki LaMotta, Jake LaMotta's troubled wife, in Martin Scorsese's masterpiece *Raging Bull* (1980).

Her screen presence is often characterized by a natural intensity, a distinctive voice, and an ability to oscillate between dramatic and comedic roles, often portraying gritty, outspoken, or authoritarian characters.
