Celeste Holm (1917-2012) was an American actress renowned for her film career. She won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Anne Dettrey in *Gentleman's Agreement* (1947), where she distinguished herself as an outspoken and progressive journalist.
