
Cillian Murphy
**Cillian Murphy (Douglas, 1976)** is an Irish actor acclaimed for his versatility and the intensity of his performances. His film career took off with Danny Boyle's horror film *28 Days Later* (2002).
He became a frequent collaborator with director Christopher Nolan, playing Dr. Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow in the *Batman* trilogy (*Batman Begins*, *The Dark Knight*, and *The Dark Knight Rises*). He went on to have significant roles in other Nolan films such as *Inception* (2010) and *Dunkirk* (2017).
His breakthrough came with the lead role in *Oppenheimer* (2023), which earned him the Academy Award for Best Actor.
