**Daigorō Tachibana** (born in 1987) is a Japanese actor hailing from a prestigious family of *taishū engeki* (popular theater) actors. He is renowned for his film career, despite having roots in traditional theater.
His big-screen debut came in 2003 with Takeshi Kitano's film *Zatoichi*, where he masterfully portrayed Osei, the mysterious geisha/cross-dresser. This role made him instantly recognizable and solidified his image as a versatile actor with an androgynous charm.
