David Weston

David Weston (1938-2024) was a British actor, highly regarded for his long career in film and television, especially in character roles.

He often portrayed working-class figures, sturdy men, sometimes marginalized or with a dark side, but always imbued with profound humanity and stage presence. His acting was characterized by an unvarnished realism and remarkable versatility.

Among his most notable film roles were the remake of Don Sharp's "The Thirty-Nine Steps" (1978) and an appearance in the acclaimed "Chariots of Fire" (1981).
