
Denholm Elliott
Denholm Elliott (London, 1922 – Ibiza, 1992) was a British actor known for his long and distinctive film career. Specializing in character roles, he often portrayed eccentric figures, bizarre aristocrats, shrewd businessmen, or melancholic characters with a touch of vulnerability.
His versatility led him to appear in successful films such as *Trading Places* (1983) and *A Room with a View* (1985), for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He is perhaps best known for his recurring role as Marcus Brody in the *Indiana Jones* saga, particularly in *Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade* (1989). Other notable roles include those in *Another Country* (1984) and *Prick Up Your Ears* (1987).
