Dorothy Comingore (1913-1971) was an American actress, best known for her portrayal of Susan Alexander Kane in Orson Welles' masterpiece, *Citizen Kane* (1941).

Discovered by Welles himself, her role as Charles Foster Kane's second wife, a failed and tormented opera singer, earned her widespread critical acclaim. Her career, though not extensive, often saw her in roles of vulnerable women, marked by adversity or an unhappy fate. Among her other significant appearances was Jean Renoir's drama *The Southerner* (1945), where she played Nona Tucker. She later had minor roles, including a brief but memorable appearance in *Dirty Harry* (1971), shortly before her death.
