Edward Bunker (1933-2005) was an American writer, screenwriter, and actor, known for his background as an ex-convict which profoundly influenced his work. In film, he distinguished himself as a screenwriter and actor.
As a screenwriter, he often adapted his own novels, including the celebrated *A 30 secondi dalla fine* (*Runaway Train*, 1985), achieving critical success.
As an actor, he played minor but memorable roles, leveraging his authentic screen presence. His most iconic character is Mr. Blue in Quentin Tarantino's *Le iene* (*Reservoir Dogs*, 1992).
