Elliott Gould
**Elliott Gould** (New York, 1938) is an American actor whose film career has spanned decades, particularly establishing himself in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
He earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Ted Henderson in *Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice* (1969). His popularity exploded with his collaborations with Robert Altman: he played Trapper John McIntyre in the cult film *MASH* (1970) and an unconventional version of Philip Marlowe in *The Long Goodbye* (1973).
Gould is known for embodying easygoing characters, often ironic and slightly unconventional, with an anti-hero charm. In later years, he consolidated his presence in supporting roles, returning to global prominence as Reuben Tishkoff in the famous *Ocean's* trilogy (starting in 2001).
