Enrico Lo Verso
**Enrico Lo Verso** (Palermo, 1964) is an Italian actor who distinguished himself for the intensity and depth of his performances, establishing himself in the early 1990s. His breakthrough came with the leading role in Gianni Amelio's *Il ladro di bambini* (1992), a film that brought him international prominence.
He then continued his fruitful collaboration with Amelio in works such as *Lamerica* (1994), where he plays an undocumented immigrant, and the dramatic *Così ridevano* (1999), which earned him the Volpi Cup for Best Actor at the Venice Film Festival. Other significant films include Ricky Tognazzi's *La scorta* (1993).
Lo Verso is known for embodying complex characters, often tormented, on the fringes of society or in situations of profound hardship, characterized by raw realism and remarkable expressive power.
