Estela Inda
**Estela Inda** (1917-1994) was an iconic Mexican actress of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. A favorite muse of director Emilio "El Indio" Fernández, Inda excelled at portraying strong, untamed, and often tragic female figures, representing the Mexican woman at her most authentic and vulnerable.
Among her most memorable roles were those in masterpiece films such as *Flor Silvestre* (1943), *María Candelaria* (1944), and *La perla* (1947), all directed by Fernández, in which she often played indigenous or humble characters with great dignity. Her intense performance earned her recognition and established her as one of the leading stars of the period. She also collaborated with Luis Buñuel in films such as *Los olvidados* (1950) and *Nazarín* (1959), demonstrating her remarkable versatility and acting depth.
