Françoise Spira (1934-2018) was a French actress, primarily celebrated for her intense collaborations with director Éric Rohmer, making her an emblematic figure of the Nouvelle Vague.

She is remembered in particular for her key roles in the "Moral Tales" cycle. Her most iconic performance is probably that of Maud in *My Night at Maud's* (1969), where she embodied an intellectual, enigmatic, and deeply captivating woman. Equally significant is her participation in *Claire's Knee* (1970) in the role of Aurora.

Her acting style was characterized by a refined naturalness and deep emotional intelligence.
