Gar Moore

Gar Moore was an American actor primarily active in 1960s Italian cinema. He gained notoriety for his participation in numerous B-movies, particularly in the gothic horror, thriller, and peplum genres.

Among his most significant roles was that in Mario Bava's *The Girl Who Knew Too Much* (1963), recognized as a precursor to the Italian *giallo* genre. Other notable titles include *The Horrible Dr. Hichcock* (1962), *Maciste in Genghis Khan's Hell* (1964), and *Malenka, the Vampire's Niece* (1969).

Often cast in male lead roles or as a romantic interest, he was distinguished by a subdued elegance and a certain ambiguity, which allowed him to portray both heroes and characters with a dark or mysterious side. Although he never achieved stardom, his presence is iconic in many cult films of Italian genre cinema.
