
George Peppard
George Peppard (1928-1999) was an American actor known for his film career from the 1960s.
His role as Paul Varjak in *Breakfast at Tiffany's* (1961), alongside Audrey Hepburn, established him as a leading man. Subsequently, he portrayed the tenacious pilot Bruno Stachel in *The Blue Max* (1966), solidifying his image as a man of action and a complex character.
Peppard excelled in masculine leading roles, often ambiguous or tormented, with a strong screen presence. Among his other significant films are *Pork Chop Hill* (1959) and *How the West Was Won* (1962). In the 1980s, he achieved widespread television popularity with the series *The A-Team*.
